Course description: Level 4 is for students who are familiar with the core concepts of programming and program design, and are ready to move on to more powerful “typed languages”. Students will take the basic JavaScript skills they learned in Level 3 to the next level and create complex projects. Students will also be introduced to Web Development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScripts where they will build dynamic, interactive web pages and games, and receive an introduction to what the web really is and how it works. Students will learn the importance of well-structured code, as well as designing web pages with a clean user experience.

This also includes a digital citizen certification.
• Students will learn the importance of digital safety and how to protect their personal devices and information from outside threats.
• Encourages students to apply digital ethic principles in their online interactions.
• Helps students understand the widespread importance of digital security in their everyday lives and equip them with skills to better protect themselves on the Internet.

Prerequisite: : Graduation from Level 3 or demonstrated understanding of the programming concepts included in Level 3 as well as demonstrated skill to design and implement more complicated multi-player and ‘player against the computer’ games.
Graduation criteria: Demonstrated understanding of
• Javascript Concepts
• Web Development Concepts: building web page with clean style and layout; embedding Javascript programs within an existing web page; editing the page appearance through dynamic Javascript and CSS.
• Problem solving, commenting, and code debugging through the browser.

* Listed ages are recommended. Your child’s instructor will help you determine, if your student is ready for higher level at an earlier age.

But the real value of the course is not in learning the details of some programming language. Our students learn to think with mathematical precision while interacting with fun programming concepts, puzzles, and challenges that stem from geometry, algebra, computer science and physics.

Working through the self-paced projects designed by our Experts, your child will develop a talent for problem solving that overflows out of the classroom and into all aspects of his or her academic and professional careers.
