Course description: Curriculum will cover both computer programming concepts (e.g. variables, loops, functions) as well as game development fundamentals (e.g. key based controls, game physics, event handling). Students will apply the learned techniques to build number of projects and games. Graduates will be ready for more challenging Python projects as well as introduction to web development in Level 4.

This also includes a digital citizen certification.
• Students will learn the importance of digital safety and how to protect their personal devices and information from outside threats.
• Encourages students to apply digital ethic principles in their online interactions.
• Helps students understand the widespread importance of digital security in their everyday lives and equip them with skills to better protect themselves on the Internet.

Prerequisite: Typing skills
Graduation criteria: Demonstrated understanding of
• Loops, functions, variables, and conditionals
• Python concepts: lists and basic I/O operations
• Debugging techniques and their application in projects
• Event handling and basic game physics concepts

* Listed ages are recommended. Your child’s instructor will help you determine, if your student is ready for higher level at an earlier age.

But the real value of the course is not in learning the details of some programming language. Our students learn to think with mathematical precision while interacting with fun programming concepts, puzzles, and challenges that stem from geometry, algebra, computer science and physics.

Working through the self-paced projects designed by our Experts, your child will develop a talent for problem solving that overflows out of the classroom and into all aspects of his or her academic and professional careers.
