Course description:
Students take the core concepts to the next level and begin building more complex projects. Students begin to learn the foundations of data structures, algorithms, and game design.

This also includes a digital citizen certification.
• Students will learn the importance of digital safety and how to protect their personal devices and information from outside threats.
• Encourages students to apply digital ethic principles in their online interactions.
• Helps students understand the widespread importance of digital security in their everyday lives and equip them with skills to better protect themselves on the Internet.

Prerequisite: Graduation from Level 1 or demonstrated understanding of core programming concepts and ability to build a simple game in Scratch.

• Foundations of software design
• Basics of game design
• Advanced problem solving and code debugging

* Listed ages are recommended. Your child’s instructor will help you determine, if your student is ready for higher level at an earlier age.

But the real value of the course is not in learning the details of some programming language. Our students learn to think with mathematical precision while interacting with fun programming concepts, puzzles, and challenges that stem from geometry, algebra, computer science and physics.

Working through the self-paced projects designed by our Experts, your child will develop a talent for problem solving that overflows out of the classroom and into all aspects of his or her academic and professional careers.
